Description & Features:

The Sonalkar 3-jaw Self-centering chucks (3-j/SC Chucks) are made to a sturdy design. The Chucks have semi-steel body made of high tensile cast iron with hardness between 180 & 220BHN, or of medium carbon forged/caste steel with grain flow such as to ensure maximum strength at the guideways. The scroll plates are made of high quality heat-treated carbon steel. The Jaws and pinions are made of alloy case hardened steel.

The self-centring chucks provide high gripping power at each jaw, beacuse the scroll operation enables a large number of teeth to mesh in and thus,ensure a very high degree of safety.
