Description & Features:
The Our Heavy Duty 4-Jaw Independent Chucks (Heavy Duty Chucks) are extremely robust in design and construction. The chuck body is made of either high tensile cast iron hardended between 180 and 220 BHN, or of medium carbon caste / forged steel. The Jaws, Screws and bearings are made of alloy steel- the screws are heat treated for greater strength and durability. The parts are standardised for easy interchange ability during replacement when worn out.
The Chuck body has two slots to accommodate extra bearings necessary in heavy duty operations. The double slots also prevent any lateral bending of the jaw during shock loads.
The size of the Chuck – dependent on the capacity/size of the machine. The
diameter of the Chuck should be slightly less than twice the centre height of the machine.

The Heavy Duty Chucks are inherently imbalanced by design and hence, should not be used at speeds more than 600-700 rpm.
